Google docs is one of the best modern free document  tools on the modern day web. This is Google’s free version of Microsoft word. Not only it works like Microsoft word as far as typing and saving documents, there are some other features you can do with Google docs as well. Well first example is that you can access your documents on any computer with an internet connection. Thus making versatile access to your documents. Next is not only you can type word documents, you can create tables, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. Finally, is sharing via email with your contacts or publicly on the web like you can on Google sites.

Saving documents on Google docs can be very good for people like bloggers, freelance writers and small business owners. So if you want a service like Microsoft for free, one of them is Google docs.

Versatile access with any computer:

Documents on Google docs can be accessible to any computer with an internet connection. So as long as you have you documents saved on Google docs, then you are pretty much on the safe side. It’s just as effective as Emailing a document to yourself to make sure you have it. This is pretty when you are going to places such a cyber cafe or a library where you don’t have to worry about where you sat at last time or you hope someone didn’t delete your work . Versatile access to your documents is the best way to go.

Creating multiple types of documents.

If you are familiar with the format of Microsoft word, than typing documents on Google docs won’t be too hard to get used to. You can still use spell/grammar check, create tables, add pictures and many other things you can do on Microsoft word. Not only you can create word documents , you can also create documents such as spreadsheets, presentations and tables.

This is very helpful for people like small business owners and college students for example. Well this is good for college students since they can create spreadsheets, presentations and tables for their class projects without paying money for very expensive programs. Small business can use the spreadsheets and presentations as a model for their downline and it’s cost effective as it doesn’t even charge a penny.

File sharing services.

Last fundamental feature of Google docs is file sharing. You can share it via email, social media or public web sharing. Emailing is the most common use for sharing on Google docs. Also it can save as either a word document or PDF File if you want to share it with someone. It is recommended to share it in PDF format so no one can plagiarize and rewrite content you worked so hard on.
